Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! We hated not being with our families this weekend, but we had a fun time with MFG.  Here are some pics from the weekend.

Practicing for the egg hunt. That bow stayed in her hair for all of about 5 minutes. Oh well, I tried.

On Saturday, we planned to go to the "Newcomers and Natives" egghunt in Marblehead. It was supposed to be held at a nice park, but the weather was awful yesterday...raining and cold. So, the egg hunt was in the community center instead.

Mary Francis didn't really understand the "looking for eggs" concept, but she had fun anyway! She loved this ball and carried it all over the gym.

Look I found an egg!

She wasn't so sure about the Easter bunny. Not terrified like with Santa, but not crazy about him either. This was as close as we could get for a picture.

She did love the slide!

Leaving the egg hunt with her prize from the Easter bunny and a doughnut hole.

Francie really liked her Easter basket this morning. The Easter bunny brought her sidewalk chalk, playdough eggs, a pinwheel, some bubbles, an easter cookie and a stuffed bunny.

Mommy, that's my playdough, not yours.

We went to church this morning and they had another Easter egg hunt. Thankfully, the weather was gorgeous today, so it was outside. She did find one egg and carried it around.

After her nap, we spent the afternoon outside while Daddy worked in the yard. It was beautiful today. Finally, some warm weather!!

We played with some of the things from her Easter basket. She really liked the sidewalk chalk!

What's that you say? I have chalk on my face?

She got antsy after awhile (and kept making a beeline for all of the very-sharp-tools Daddy was using in the yard), so we went down to the beach for a little while. It was our first beach trip of the season.

She loved the water, even though it was FREEZING!

 Like father, like daughter!

 Time to go!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!
