Merry Christmas!

We have had a wonderful Christmas! Watching the magic and excitement in an almost-3-year-old at Christmas is so precious.

Last weekend, we made a gingerbread house

We started this weekend by making some Christmas cookies

We went to church on Christmas Eve

Christmas morning was awesome. MFG was a little scared to go downstairs because she thought that Santa was still inside our house, but once we got down there, she was amazed.

"Is this a new dollhouse from Santa just for me?!?!"

Santa left lots of great treats in Francie's stocking

Opening presents

So excited that Santa brought her dress-up "slippers"! Just like she asked for

Dora puzzles!

She said, "Mommy, this is the best puzzle I ever saw!"

Showing off her new princess castle from Aunt Robin, Uncle Todd, Anna and Elizabeth (in a princess dress of course. and a sassy pose.)

Very excited about a set of Fancy Nancy books from Nanny and Papa

Showing off her barrettes from her stocking

Santa left a matching game in her stocking and she loves it!

We ended our Christmas day with dinner at the Kirbys.
Francie and Ben ("he's my best buddy!") had a great time!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

Big Girl Bed!

A momentous occasion occurred this weekend....MFG moved into a big girl bed! We have been in no rush because she never once tried to climb out of her crib, but we decided it was time. We found a cute trundle bed, which will be great for friend or cousin sleepovers! MFG loves her new bed and is very proud. It has been 3 nights and no problems so far!

I love her new bedding!

So excited!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

MFG was a big helper with decorating the tree

I don't know why this picture is sideways, but this was a fun project with MFG. It is a salt dough ornament made from her handprint. So cute and easy!

Poor Taylor, we make her pose for this shot every year

We had some snow last weekend, but it was 60 yesterday!

Thanksgiving

We have had a great Thanksgiving!

Mary Francis made this placemat at school - so sweet! She was so excited for her cousins to come to visit.

Robin, Anna and Elizabeth arrived on Tuesday and the girls all had a big time. We went to pick up our turkey at Tendercrop Farm on Wednesday. The girls loved seeing the animals and feeding them.
(Note: these were not Thanksgiving turkeys!)

We had lunch in Newburyport and the littles posed in their matching turkey dresses

My parents arrived Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday morning we went to the playground at Devereux Beach in Marblehead while Tommy worked on the Thanksgiving feast!

We were so lucky to have beautiful weather while everyone was here

Sweet Papa and Elizabeth

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious! Tommy is quite the chef

Yesterday, my sister and her girls had to go home, but we had a special day with Nanny and Papa. We went to have tea at the Boston Public Library. MFG thought it was so fancy!

We explored the library after tea time. The building is beautiful! We have lived in Boston for 5 years and had never been.

It was a great day!

We are so thankful that we could spend the holiday with everyone and that everyone could make the trip to Boston. I am especially thankful for my sister who made the trip with two children under 4 by herself! We missed Chase and Stephanie and Tommy's side of the family but we know we will see everyone soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!
