In search of plants...

Tommy got home from California Saturday morning and we were so glad to see him!! We spent most of our weekend shopping for plants. We are starting a major re-landscaping project in our backyard - more to come on that! It was chilly all weekend, but we got to do some fun activities with MFG.

We stopped by Tendercrop Farms in Newbury. This place is awesome! We got out Thanksgiving turkey here and it was delicious.

We also stopped at an antique store that looked interesting called Salt Marsh Antiques. We found this beautiful mahogany cheval mirror. I've been looking for a mirror exactly like this, so I was very excited. It's my early Mother's Day present. (We didn't have a full length mirror anywhere in the house before, so I used to stand on the edge of the tub in the guest bathroom to try to see myself in the mirror above the sink. So sad. It will be so nice to not risk my life trying to see in the mirror! )

Yesterday, we headed out to another nursery in Hopkinton, MA, which also happens to be where the Boston Marathon starts. The marathon was today, so needless to say, yesterday was a busy day in Hopkinton.

We found our tree! We picked out this "Elizabeth" magnolia for the backyard. I love that this tree will be planted very close to the time that our sweet niece Elizabeth will be born! :)
There were more animals at Weston nurseries. Mary Francis loved these goats and kept saying "Maaaa!" to them (she loves her animal sounds)

We also picked out all of our hydrangeas. The yard is going to look great when it is finished!
