Early Christmas with Nanny and Papa

My parents came last Sunday to celebrate an early Christmas with us and to help out while I had surgery (more on that later).

The girls were so excited to see them!

We went to watch MFG's ice skating lesson shortly after Nanny and Papa arrived

We opened presents Sunday evening

MFG loves her new coat and boots

And Anderson loves her new Bitty Baby

Nanny also surprised the girls with a Zoomer Kitty which everyone loved

Anderson sat with us at the table and thought she was a very big girl

I had gastric bypass surgery on Monday, Dec 7th. It is something that I have considered for a long time and I decided now was the right time. We were so fortunate to have my parents here to help us while I recovered in the hospital. Nanny and Papa got in lots of quality time with the girls.

I am recovering well from my surgery and looking forward to a happy, healthy New Year in 2016!
Thank you for everything, Mom and Dad! We love you!!!

Bye Bye, Tonsils!

Mary Francis had her tonsils removed yesterday. She has been so brave!

Ready for the OR

Sweet girl in recovery

Ready to go home

Her sweet recovery room nurse gave her a "Great Patient Award" :)

Snuggled in bed eating some ice cream

Get-well flowers, balloons and a new teddy bear from Daddy

More flowers from Nanny and Papa

She is recovering well and has not been in too much pain, thankfully!

Ballet Peek Week

It is hard to believe that this is MFG's 4th year taking dance. She still loves it and we got to watch on Saturday at Peek Week

Sweet ballerinas

Look at that point!

Tiny tappers. Her recital dance is going to be tap this year to "Broadway Baby!"

Ice skating lessons

Mary Francis asked to take ice skating lessons this year, and she started 2 weeks ago.

Excited for her 1st lesson!

Her friend Molly is in her class

Anderson watching the big kids skating

They spent a lot of time sitting on the ice in the first class (Hence the ski pants). They first thing they learned was how to get up if they fall down

Skating!

You may have noticed how SMALL her ski clothes were in her first lesson (Sad!), so we got her some new ski clothes for this season and ........ her first pair of skis! Our little New England girl can't wait to hit the slopes!

Lesson #2

Skating backwards!

Christmas photos

My sweet friend Anna did a mini family photo session for us a few weeks ago for our Christmas cards. Anderson was not loving it, so we didn't get too many good ones, but here are a few

The winner! Coming soon to a mailbox near you

She took some new headshots for Tommy while we were there

I love this one of the girls

A is NOT happy

At least we got a few good ones!
