Memorial Day Weekend - Part 3

The weather was perfect again today, so we spent most of the day outside. Mary Francis tried out the "Kwik Cabana" and had a great time.
Hanging out in my tent
Our flowers are starting to bloom and the yard is looking great after all of the hard work!
This year's potted herb/vegetable deck garden. Tommy potted tomatoes, peppers, mint, thyme, rosemary, basil and catnip. He also recycled some of the old treads from our rickety stairs to make our lobster pot more functional as a table for the herbs.
Our new umbrella

The other huge yard project that Tommy tackled today was the seriously overgrown hedge/tree mess between out house and our neighbors. It looks so much better!

Before.... (you can barely see their garage and house)
After - amazing!
After a long fun day outside, we played with Mary Francis before she went to bed.

Her new favorite toy. The monkey's little arms and legs are just the right size for her little hands to grab on to.
She loves to stand up while holding my hands
After MFG went to bed, Tommy and I grilled out (and Taylor helped) and relaxed on the deck. (Note the giant pile of brush in the driveway that Tommy cut down today).
A perfect ending to a perfect weekend!
