Well, Mary Francis, Tommy and I made it through my first day back at work. Dropping her off yesterday morning was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do! Handing your baby to someone else to have that person care for her just feels so . . . wrong. However, that being said, she had a great day. Here is her report from daycare yesterday:
"Mary Francis had a great 1st day! She was in a great mood and really enjoyed watching the other kids play. Mary Francis enjoyed spending time on the floor playing on the playmat, bouncing in the bouncy seat, swinging in the swing, and of course being held and cuddled :)"
I was okay once I got to work. Everyone was very nice and welcomed me back and wanted to see pictures of MFG. I hit the ground running and the day flew by. Coming home and holding her was the best thing ever.
Tommy picked her up at around 4pm yesterday and they went to Whole Foods to get us dinner and an orchid for me :) I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband! He really enjoyed having some Daddy/Daughter time yesterday.
She slept through the night last night and we are relaxing at home today. Wednesdays are going to be my day off for now, which will be a nice break in the middle of the week. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little bit easier...we'll see!
