We went to Virginia last week and had so much fun with Tommy's family!
Off to the airport
Anderson FINALLY passed her baked egg challenge, so she had her first donut ever at the airport
After a thankfully short flight to Richmond, we piled in the rental car to drive to Newport News
The girls were so excited to see Grandma and Pa and loved exploring their backyard
The next morning it rained, but it cleared and we went to Fort Fun to play
While Anderson napped, Tommy, MFG and I went to the Glendale pool where Tommy grew up swimming and lifeguarding
Later that afternoon, we went to see Finding Dory with Grandma and Pa
And afterwards went to get barbecue - a must when we are in the South!
The next day we went to Busch Gardens
MFG loved all of the kids rides
Anderson liked the Sesame Street area but was terrified of the characters
MFG rode the Grover rollercoaster
A family selfie in line for a ride
Anderson like the "boats"
My big girl and I on a ride
We all did the teacups
An attempt at a family pic
These airplanes were Tommy's favorite ride when we was little
Another attempt
These silly girls posing in the Festhaus
Anderson loved the ladybug ride and went all by herself!
Cute little thing!
MFG wanted to get her face painted. She chose the "rockstar"
Posing outside the Griffin
There was a Pet Spectacular show that France LOVED with cats and dogs
This little one crashed in the afternoon
Tommy and I went back that night while the girls hung out with Grandma and Pa for a roller coaster date night=
The next morning we got ready to go to Edie and Bruce's farm
We had a great time at the farm! Tommy drove the tractor
And we got to see all of the animals! There was a 6 week old baby donkey named Albert (see him behind his Mama? He is brown)
MFG fed the angora goats
And the llamas
Bruce and Edie brought these two ponies for the girls to ride
And we got to see Lincoln and Little Oz
MFG loved riding the ponies!
Pa watching from the porch
Anderson and Daddy watching MFG ride
Bruce giving Tommy tractor lessons
After lunch, MFG wanted to ride again and Anderson wanted to "ride the pony too!"
Edie and MFG walking the ponies through the barn
Anderson LOVED riding the pony!
MFG is a natural
France wanted to climb on the tractor too
We went out to the pasture to see all of the animals one more time before we left
Anderson loved petting the goats. They are very sweet.
Jenny and Elaina came for dinner that night and we tried to get a photo of everyone
The next morning, we spent time with Grandma and Pa before we left
We had such a fun trip!! Thanks for everything, Grandma and Pa!
