After our wonderful weekend, we woke up after going to bed to Mary Francis crying last night. She didn't sound right so we went in to check on her. We found her wheezing and struggling to breathe. Needless to say, we were scared and very worried, so we just scooped her up and headed straight to the ER. We weren't sure if it was an allergic reaction or a respiratory illness. By the time we were in the car, she was less upset but sounded really hoarse and starting having a barking cough with the wheezing.
When we got to the ER, she was quickly diagnosed with croup and got a dose of steroids. We were only there for about 2 1/2 hours, but we didn't get home until 2AM, so we were all exhausted. Thankfully, she slept well last night and took a long nap today. She seems 100% better today. The only problem today was that she was WIRED from the steroids. Like, doing flips on the couch and jumping up and down and being a non-stop chatterbox all day. It was actually pretty hilarious. We thought we should let her get out some of that energy, so we walked down to Eiseman's Beach this afternoon and let her run around and play. She had a big time picking up rocks and putting them in her bucket and loved the walk down and back in her awesome new wagon. Here are some pics from our afternoon at the beach. Pray for a quiet night for us!
