We got back from another awesome week in Longboat Key for our April vacation. Warning: LOTS of pictures ahead!
The flight down was okay - 21 months is a very busy age!
When we got there, we drove up to Anna Maria Island and had lunch right on the beach
Of course, we had to go put our toes in the sand!
And check out that gorgeous water!
After lunch, we headed to our cottage
Look at that view!
After getting settled, we went down to the beach for some boogie boarding
We found a huge starfish!
Anderson wasn't so sure about the sand or the water at first
But she liked the ocean if one of us was holding her :)
And the flowers
The yellow cottage on the left was ours
Our first sunset was a gorgeous one!
The next morning, we headed right out to the beach again
And I found 2 more starfish on my walk
Someone liked to eat the sand
Little beach diva
Squirrely girl
The water was amazing
Nanny and Papa arrived after lunch and brought fun toys, like a kite!
Anderson and Nanny heading down to the beach
Hanging out with Nanny and Papa before dinner on the porch
A family pic before dinner
Our view at dinner
A great pic of all of us!
All of the ladies
The next day, we went to Nanny and Papa's hotel to swim at the pool
And then my mom and I got to do some shopping
More kite flying that afternoon
And s'mores by the fire pit on the beach that evening
Another beautiful sunset
A cute family beach pic
Another view of our cottage
Anderson loved her bathing suits and wanted to put them on as soon as she woke up every morning (which was VERY early!)
Another morning on the beach
Beach snack sisters
This was a favorite activity - climbing the back of the beach chairs
Nanny and Papa came to say goodbye on their way home
We loved seeing them!
That afternoon, we went to the Sarasota Jungle Gardens.
We started at the petting zoo
And then walked through the gardens
Sweet sisters
These flamingos will eat out of your hand!
I think these were monkeys
On the playground
More animals
MFG held this bird!
And it sat on her head!
And on Anderson's too!
There were lots of alligators
The girls loved this skunk named Mocha
Free range flamingo!
We stopped for ice cream in Bradenton Beach on the way home, which was a big hit!
The next morning, we took a LONG walk on the beach and found another starfish!
A beautiful morning
Anderson loved the ghost crabs and thought they were hilarious
She also liked the "toe water"
That afternoon, we went to St Armand's circle for lunch
Columbia!
Lunch time selfies
Some window shopping in St Armand's circle
Another blissful beach morning
Don't worry, it's empty. I wouldn't let my baby drink coffee :)
Such a sweet pic of Daddy and his girls!
For our last afternoon, we decided to go to the Mote Marine Aquarium
There was a new otter exhibit that both girls loved
After the aquarium, we had an early dinner on the bay
Not a bad view!
We headed back to the cottage and spent a few final evening hours on the beach
At the Sarasota airport, ready to head home
It was a peaceful flight home :)
What a wonderful trip!!
