We have had a great 4th of July weekend! We started the 4th with the annual neighborhood Horribles Parade. Francie went with a Red Sox themed outfit this year.
Posing with sweet Maeve
The parade down Aspen Road
So excited about her ribbon at the end of the parade!
Enjoying her new swing set after the parade
Nanny and Papa got in around lunch time and Francie was so exited to see them!
We went into Marblehead and went by Shubie's, one of our favorite stores
And went by Crocker Park to check out the Arts Festival. It was a gorgeous day by the harbor, but SO hot!
Someone was tuckered out and crashed when we got home
More swinging with Nanny
The next day, we decided to take the Salem Ferry into Boston
It was a beautiful day on the water and a fun ride along the coast of the North Shore
The Boston skyline ahead
Riding in the front of the ferry as we approach Boston
A very windblown family photo
Coming into to dock at Long Wharf
We had a great lunch on the wharf
And then went to see a 3D IMAX movie at the aquarium
It was hot, hot, hot again, so we took MFG to the splash pad across the street to cool off before we got back on the ferry. She had a big time!
The we got back on the ferry and headed back up the coast to Salem
More swinging when we got home - so is going to high!
Yesterday, we drove up to Portsmouth, New Hampshire (or "New Hamster" as Francie calls it) and had lunch and did some window shopping
And had Hibachi last night
Nanny and Papa had to leave this morning, but we wished they could have stayed longer. What a fun weekend!
