New Year's in Virginia

We had a great trip to Virginia to see Tommy's family after Christmas. We saw the whole family and Mary Francis had a great time!

Our first fun activity was a yoga class at Edie's studio

MFG was so excited about her new pink yoga mat!

Edie teaches children's yoga classes using her books about Jeeva to help little ones understand.
The class starts by reading the book

And then the class goes through the poses from the book

And then the children color pictures from the book.
Francie loved it!

Tommy and I went out one night. We had a delicious dinner at a French restaurant in Williamsburg and saw a movie (This is 40 - totally hilarious and a little too close to home!)

The next day we went out to the barn where Edie and Bruce keep their horses.

Lincoln (Bruce's horse) is on the left and Little Oz (Edie's horse) is on the right. They are both beautiful horses!

Francie loved seeing all of the horses. This barn houses a horse rescue and this sweet little pony named Stormy was rescued after being tied to a lawn mower for years. So sad, but he has a good home now.

Francie particularly loved all of the barn kitties. She may inherit wanting to bring home strays from her mom and dad!

I love this shot of Aunt Edie and our sweet girl

A great picture of Tommy, MFG, Edie, Jim, Jenny and Bruce (L to R)

Cousin love with Elaina.
Elaina is looking at colleges in Boston - we are excited that she could be going to school up here in another year and a half!

Newport News Park has a drive-through light show called Celebration of Lights that we went to one night with MFG. It was awesome! We all really enjoyed it.

On New Year's Eve, we drove up to the Northern Neck to see Jim and Jenny's farm. They also have two horses, Levon and Windsor.

We had to go home on New Year's Day, but we had lunch and did some shopping in City Center with Grandma and Pa before we left

We brought home some Virginia ham to make our black eyed peas for New Years - Yum, Yum!

Here's to a happy and healthy 2013 for all of our family and friends!
