Making cookies and decorating them every year is one of my favorite childhood Christmas memories. It was a tradition that I definitely wanted to continue when I had my own family. So today, we made Christmas cookies. It was so fun! Making the cookie dough from scratch, rolling it out with the rolling pin (and getting flour everywhere), using the cute holiday cookie cutters, and decorating the cookies with icing, sprinkles, red hots, and M&Ms all reminded me so much of Christmastime when I was growing up. I can't wait to do this every year with Mary Francis. She napped through most of it this year, but did "help" with the decorating and enjoyed the sugar cookies and icing!
