Birmingham

Mary Francis and I went to Birmingham this weekend to visit the Petersons and my parents met us there as well. We had so much fun! Mary Francis loved playing with her big cousin, Anna. Anna was so sweet with her and liked to share her toys and dress up clothes. She calls her "baby Fancis" and always wants to "hold the baby."
We also did some serious shopping for Mary Francis. Birmingham is the place to go for baby clothes! We went to a consignment sale on Friday, my sister had a trunk show for Shrimp and Grits Kids (a precious childrens clothing line) on Saturday, and we got lots of hand-me-downs from Anna. MFG is set for fall and winter!
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so I just have a few fuzzy pics from my phone. My sister has more cute pictures of the weekend on her blog, which you can link to on the right side of my blog. Her post is titled "Cousins!"

Mary Francis is so happy - she loves her cousin!
Playing dress up in Anna's room.
MFG is wearing Anna's Halloween costume from last year and Anna has on her special Tinkerbell costume. Such fancy girls!

Sitting by herself on the plane before we took off. She is quite the traveler! She was so good on all of the flights (except for a minor diaper explosion right as we landed in Boston coming home). It was my first time travelling alone with her and we had a layover in Charlotte both ways, but she was great. The TSA takes their job very seriously in Birmingham - MFG got frisked by security (seriously, they made us wait in that little glass box so that they could pat her down. They didn't check me at all, but had to pat her down. Does this look like the face of a terrorist?)

We had a great time and hope too see everyone again soon!

  1. Oh my goodness, she is terrifying. I'm surprised they even let her on the plane! ;) Sounds like a fun weekend. We can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!
