Fun Weekend

We have had such a fun weekend! The weather was gorgeous here - it felt like spring. We have had temperatures in the 50s and 60s since Saturday, which is a treat in early March in Boston. We have made the most of it.

On Saturday, Mary Francis made her first trip in to the city. Tommy and I wanted to get anniversary gifts for each other, so we went to Copley Plaza Mall in downtown Boston. Mary Francis loved shopping and was very well behaved the whole time. Tommy surprised me with the most beautiful necklace as a push present/anniversary gift! I love it - What a sweet husband!!

On Sunday, we walked down to the beach from our house. We stopped in one of our favorite local beach town spots, Popo's Hot Dogs, and got hot dogs and ice cream for lunch. Then, we took a long walk along the seawall and enjoyed the beautiful day by the ocean. (Note - I can't take credit for these photos, but just wanted to give a visual to those of you who have not been to visit our little seaside town).

Today, we met our new friends Vicki and Griffin for a movie. There is a movie theater in Salem that shows Mom and Baby movies at 10am on Mondays. It is SUCH a great idea and a great excuse to get out of the house. It is just Moms and babies, so diaper changes, nursing and crying are totally acceptable. They even have a nice changing table set up in the lobby! We saw Crazy Heart, which I really enjoyed. Mary Francis was an angel again. Afterward, we walked around downtown Salem, had lunch at a cafe that I have been wanting to try, and cruised some baby stores (Okay, maybe I bought her something...I am finding it is hard to restrain yourself when you have a little girl. The clothes are so cute!) All in all a great day - we were both exhausted when we got home and took a long nap.
